MUSIC Matters

Who we are

MUSIC Matters is a student-run non-profit organization that aims to use the unifying power of music to drive social impact in our community.

We are one of the largest student organizations at the University of Michigan. Every April we host SpringFest: a full-day lifestyle and music festival run by students, for students. Our proceeds from SpringFest and other concerts showcasing local talent throughout the year allow us to fund our three Social Ventures: The Big Thinkers Scholarship, MOvE: Michigan Overnight Experience, and The CoMMunity Partnership. These Social Ventures and our year-round events allow us to create educational opportunities and celebrate the vibrant Michigan community. Through our collective passion for music and social activism, we intend to make a tangible and positive impact on our community.
